poliphiloDavid Tennant got into a couple of my dreams. In one of them he and I were investigating a mystery that led to the exposure of corruption in the world of football. In the other he was performing extraordinary gymnastics and shooting white light from his eyes. Why David Tennant? I suppose because he was Dr Who (and is going to be again) and also because I saw him play Hamlet- and Hamlet and Dr Who are two of my favourite fictional characters.
As for the corruption in the world of football, well it's very hard to avoid the Qatar World Cup (though I try)- where everything that's wrong with the world is being displayed for our instruction and enlightenment under the pitiless gaze of the desert sun. And gymnastics? I have a granddaughter who's a gymnast and I've a particularly good reason right now for having her in my thoughts.
