No Such Thing As Coincidence

Our new friend Sandra- who has been staying with us while she and Ailz attend a course on becoming end of life doolas (got the spelling right this time!) has been practising telepathy. Whenever she finds herself thinking more than casually about a friend she sends them a message going 'Hi" and most times they'll text back saying, "Hey, I was just thinking of you."

I have read one Brazilian book in my life- the Astral City by Francisco Candide Xavier- and it turns out that Sandra- who is Brazilian- has done a course in Spiritualism- lasting several years- based on Xavier's teachings. Well, of course she has. This is how the world works. There's no such thing as co-incidence. We meet the people we need to meet when we need to meet them- because we'll have made the appointment to get in touch when we were planning out our lives on the Other Side...

Several years ago, I would have rolled my eyes at this.

I haven't always believed this either, but the evidence just keeps mounting up.

I have two views of this. When I mention something out loud and then the web immediately offers me a relevant link (without searching for one), I assume the device is listening somehow, even though I don't have Siri activated or Alexa or anything like that. This morning we were discussing the ostentatious menus rich people have, and an example Arthur gave was shark fin soup. In less than two minutes there was a post on Twitter about a forthcoming conference aimed at trying to get an international ban on shark finning.

Other view - coincidences happen all the time. We have been noting them in household conversation for years "I had an interesting coincidence of the day today."

I guess our devices could be listening in. I wouldn't put it past the tech companies to be doing this and not letting on.

When I was little, I had this persistent idea that we people were actually some kind of angelic beings who came down to earth to experience life for some reason. And before we came, we got to plan out ourselves too: personal advantages and handicaps. (Too many video games?)

Yes, I believe all those things.

We are "angelic" beings- and between incarnations get to plan what we'll be doing next. You might be interested in Michael Newton's books- the first of which is called Journey of Souls. Newton was a hypnotherapist who found he was able to regress his subjects to their life between lives.

A lot of people have suggested that life on earth is very like a video game- and our present selves just temporary avatars.
