Unprincipled

A friend who doesn't understand veganism booked us into a favourite restaurant of hers that doesn't understand veganism either. Rather than cause embarrassment all round I decided to relapse into vegetarianism for the duration. I ate buttery croissants for breakfast (twice) and a very good pizza- with buffalo mozzerella- at a pub in Gaydon yesterday. It was a very big pizza and I retained half of it- wrapped in napkins- to consume today. After that it'll be back to the strait and narrow.

I'm not one who'd suffer for his principles. "Burn a pinch of incense to Caesar? Why not? Jolly fine chap that Caesar of yours. Godlike, in fact..."
