Quaint
Ailz tells me the Quakers didn't rescind their prohibition on music until the 1970s. I'm sure this was an oversight and Quakers had lapsed into playing pianos in their parlours long before that. Even so, it's quaint. When the time came some chap stood up in a Quaker assembly and declared the old ruling to be an "apostacy"- and that's quaint too. Why couldn't he just say it was silly?
