Fin De Cinema

Jean-Luc Godard chose assisted dying. Does this make him the first internationally famous person to travel this route? I can't think of another.

Some of his films bored me, some of them bewildered me, many of them I haven't seen, some of them delighted me, one of them sent me out of the cinema thinking, "So anything is possible."

Was his an assisted death then? I didn't know that.

It depends on what you mean by "internationally famous"

The conductor Sir Edward Downes died in this way in 2009.
