Rain

It rained yesterday- a short, hard downpour- and some more during the night. Coming as it does at the end of a dry hot summer, this is an event.

The rain that fell a few days back had already started to revive the grass. The lawn was burnt umber and now there are continents of green. A few more days and I'll be needing to get the mower out.

Not been quite so drought ridden here and the grass is still fairly green although a lot of the pools are a long way down.

More rain is forecast-. This corner of the country really needs it.
