178 Miles There, 179 Coming Back
According to our Sat-nav the distance from our house to Alice's house is 178 miles going and 179 coming back. I can't explain the discrepancy.
Anyway, we did the round journey in a day.
There was time for lunch and a chat. Mike and Su were there too- but staying over. Mike was running round the garden with the kids and normally I'd have been out there too- but not in this heat. There was a paddling pool and water got chucked around.
Alice introduced us to Cacao which is very much like cocoa except that cocoa is a bedtime drink and cacao is a ritual drink. I don't care for cocoa (a vulgar beast" says G.K. Chesterton) but I could enjoy the odd mug of cacao- which is taken thick and bitter.

Perhaps you went through a one-way system somewhere, so your return journey isn't exactly the reverse of your outbound journey. And then it's just rounding errors.
