Window Cleaners

Ailz engaged a firm of window cleaners. What with seagulls and salt sea breezes we need them. I was expecting ladders and chammy leathers but instead they had a brush on a long pole that was attached to a hose that was fed from the tank of distilled water in their van.

Distilled water is preferable to tap water, they said, because it doesn't smear.

This is how our guy, Peter, works and on a tall Victorian building, it's probably wise! The brush heads are solid enough that they clean really well.

They clean so well it'll make you realise you need to clean the insides!

When we were on the farm we had a handyman come round and wash the windows infrequently. He was old school, but then window washing wasn't his speciality.
