In Preparation

Yesterday Julia and Bean and an assistant loaded up a van with all the garden stuff we're taking with us- potted plants, tools, the lawnmower, Bean's sculpture- and carted it off into storage for a day or two. There was also a bonfire- on which we loaded various things- including a bedframe- which I had divided into two halves with scissors and wire cutters- and the mattress that went with it.

Today we're expecting the removals people to show up with 150 boxes in which they'll pack our remaining belongings.
