We'd firmed up our booking with the removals firm on the understanding that contracts were about to be exchanged. Our solicitor sent us an email mid-afternoon saying negotiations appeared to be "stuck up the bottom"- by which I think he meant "stuck at the bottom"- by which I think he meant that the buyers' solicitor at the bottom of the chain needed to get a move on. Anyway the thing was done within minutes of the close of the working day....

So we're good to go.

This morning I'm washing bedding

And assembling wardrobe boxes

And taking delivery of some new beds...
