We were looking locally, now we're looking further afield. The Tonbridge area is expensive- because of its closeness to Lunnon- and we can get more house for less money on the South Coast. This morning we booked to view a 1930s semi in Eastbourne...

My Aunt Diane lives in Eastbourne. It's a place I know quite well.

We know the area round Eastbourne better than we know the town itself. We used to visit the Tome bookshop before it closed- and we've had afternoon tea on the pier a number of times.

I hope it all goes smoothly. Moving house is one of those stressful things. Some people seem to move quite regularly, so I assume it mustn't bother them that much. I've been here for 20 years; I'd like to move, but I'm not really sure where to - the disruption to working patterns doesn't really help because we know even less of what the future holds - and R isn't so keen in any case.

We last moved nine years ago- when we made the decision to come and live with my mother. Selling the old house took us about a year but since we were already comfortably established down here it didn't stress us out too much...
