Too Short A Date

We let the lawn grow high this summer- for the sake of the wildflowers and the pollinators- but now, before it gets too damp and dank, we're cutting it- or, rather, Julia is. It's such a wilderness out there she's having to strim before she mows. The strimmer makes a loud and dismal sound. To begin with I persuaded myself it was going "Elon, Elon..." but I think this was overly fanciful.

It begins to feel autumnal and I'm seeing odd leaves that have turned yellow or red.
