That looks pretty harmless. I wonder why people are so scared of the prospect of one being built in Copenhagen. (Okay, I know why they're scared, but I won't accept their arguments as valid.)

There are lots of mosques in Oldham. There's never been any serious trouble with any of them.

This one's still under construction. It occupies a hilltop site and is quite a landmark.

Too stark. I'm hopelessly Christian in that regard, I suppose. I see pictures of the interior of the Hagia Sophia and think, "I'll bet that was beautiful when it was a church." Although I must say I'm impressed with the restorers attempts to strike a balance between preserving both the Christian and Islamic art there.

I rather agree. I like my art to be centred on the human figure. It's what I care about.
