poliphiloI dreamed I was at a memorial service for the man who taught me maths. He had been reincarnated as a woman and was present at the service- which rather complicated things.
I thought it would be interesting to check if he was actually dead- so I did and he is. He died in 2018. In my time at the school he was horribly unpopular (we thought him creepy) but it seems this changed with time- or so his obituary says. Popular or unpopular, he was a very good teacher- and got me through my math's "O" level at the second attempt. He was in his 30s then- and went on to give his whole life to the school- like Mr Chips. I wonder if they still make 'em like that...
At the dreamtime memorial service someone in authority referred to the school as "a monument" and I replied I'd like to burn it down...
