Anniversary Coming Up

There's a passage in Neale Donald Walsch's Conversations with God books where "God" recommends a vegan diet and Neale says, "Hang on a minute, Jesus ate fish!" and "God" says, "Who said Jesus was perfect?"...

Tomorrow is the first anniversary of us going vegan. I thought it would be harder than it was. In fact it wasn't hard at all. To begin with we were scouring the supermarket shelves for vegan alternatives- which is the expensive way to go- but after a while Ailz got into the swing of things and started making everything herself- which is not only less expensive but healthier- and (if you like cooking, which she does) much more fun.

One thing we haven't tried yet is "vegan fish". I believe the basic ingredients are banana blossom and seaweed...

I still puzzle as to why vegans feel the need to name stuff after what meat and fish eaters eat?

I'm plain old veggie and I don't do it.

There’s nothing like vegan meat/fish ‘substitutes’ to put anyone off veganism forever!

In my humble opinion you can’t go far wrong with fresh, natural whole foods.
