Hairline Cracks

It's cold and bright. The worst of the winter- by which I mean its darkest part- is over now. The buds of the winter aconite are still furled but with yellow hairlines visible.

I'd given myself permission to keep the Christmas tree up until Candlemas but I'd stopped paying it attention or lighting its lights so this morning I took it down.

Cold and bright here and with me needed sunglasses this morning for the glare off the snow (I'm hyperphotosensitive).
