It's a bright, sunny Christmas morning, the water is frozen in the bird baths and the temperature stands at half a degree above zero.

We're having Beet Wellington for lunch- the wittily named vegan variant on Beef Wellington. Ailz is preparing it now. The recipe she's using doesn't contain any beet...

I'm clearing all the junk off the dining room table- which- in in secular times serves me as a desk.

Our parish church, St Luke's, Matfield, has gifted us with a little candle for putting in the window. No-one is going to see it out here in the middle of the country- but never mind...

I've accessed my pink trousers with a pink tee shirt I bought at the Birling Gap and have been saving for today. I'm wearing it under a padded shirt so- like the candle- no-one is going to see it in the normal course of events- but here's a peek...

I, too, cleaner for Christmas. I cleared my desk. I am so proud that I could burst.

It always does. It starts with a single pen. But someone somewhere has said that a cluttered desk is just an image of the many layered mind it belongs to. And that multi-faceted, table-cluttering person can find their things easily, because all of the clutter and mess is actually an orginized, highly personalized manifestation of a thought process in action.
