Night Visitors

Having broken their way into a store cupboard, our night visitors proceeded to break into an unopened jar of tahine- and swig half the contents.

Here's the evidence. (photo by courtesy of Ailz)

This follows on from a similar incident where they chewed a hole in a very large container of liquid soap. We presume they ate that too- or at least as much of it as didn't drip through from an upstairs cupboard into a downstairs one.

Rats enjoy a varied diet.

Notwithstanding our admiration for their persistence, perseverance and cast iron stomachs, we're putting in hand a range of non-violent measures to get them to bugger off out of it.

Smart little critters.

My granddad tried for months to catch the mouse they had come in at night. Always outsmarted him though.
