Thunberg is angling for saintly mysticism and a doomsday cult and we all know the track record of saintly female mystics- they tend to end up dead like our very own Holy Maid of Kent.
Her teenage angsty arrogance stands a fair chance of alienating ordinary folk from the hard science of climate change and that isn't good.
The old power station site on the edge of Ironbridge is earmarked for a thousand houses due to a different local authority wanting to build as far away as possible from Shrewsbury. The World Heritage site doesn't appear to have stopped them, but the flooding there saved Ironbridge from far worse and I hope that commonsense will prevail, but that's in short supply these days.
