Collapsing

I try to write about politics but find I can't.

"O look, politician X is corrupt..."

"O look, politician Y has dementia...."

"O look, politician Z just told a whopping lie....."

It's like describing the trajectories of individual falling bricks when the whole building is collapsing.

Noah

Ailz tells me that currently the most popular boy's name is Noah.

How odd! There weren't any Noahs around when I was growing up.

Is it because we sense a Flood is coming and we want our children to survive?

Being Bill

 Talking about names....

An elderly chap (even older than me) who I've known for a couple of years just asked Ailz over the phone, "And how's Bill?"- meaning me.

He's a rakish character who likes the ladies and, as Ailz says,  "I don't think he takes much notice of men".

I don't mind. If he thinks I'm Bill I'll be Bill. I'm not precious about such things.

Besides Bill is a nice name. I'm not sure I don't prefer it.

These three images relate to the destruction of Atlantis

Where was Atlantis?

In the Atlantic, of course.

When the landmass was overwhelmed refugees took ship and scatttered to the four quarters.

What was the culture like?

Conventionally the city of Atlantis is represented as having architecture similar to that of ancient Greece, but it is more likely- looking at the civilisations that it may have seeded in central and south America, Egypt and Crete- have been megalithic and blocky. Anyway, for the purposes of these images, I've gone with an Aztec/Mayan look. And why not? Did they have balloons? They were an advanced civilisation; it would have been odd if they hadn't found ways of taking to the air.

OK. I'll come clean: I'm leaning on the accounts of people who claim to have memories of Atlantean times......
