Doing This, Doing That....
Jun. 3rd, 2024 07:13 am I take paracetmol for the backache and then I'm fit to mow the lawn.
I've tidied up the garden shed. It's only taken me two years to get round to it. When we moved in I piled all sorts in there and turned it into an over-stuffed cupboard. Now I can actually step inside onto uncluttered floor space and look around....
I've tidied up the garage too. We had plans to convert it into a bedsit but it doesn't look as if we're going to inherit enough from my mother's estate to make that feasible. I'm relieved. It would be nice to be awfully rich but then again it wouldn't. The garage will remain a garage and Ailz will park her electric chairs in there....
Mel- who came to Quakers a few times- is moving back to London (where her heart is)- and had promised the Meeting House her books and plants. A couple of us old blokes drove a van round to her flat yesterday lunchtime to pick up what she had to offer. It turned out she'd already off-loaded the books to a charity shop but we came away with cactii and succulents.
