I was sort of aware that the Meeting House had generated a Social and Education Committee and that I had been appointed its convenor- but it only came home to me yesterday- at the Business Meeting- that there was work that went with it- and that it's now my responsibilty to see that there is cake when cake is needed and to persuade people to give little talks on the Sundays when we've decided there will be "Meetings for Learning". The next Meeting for Learning is in a fortnight's time and as no-one is down to speak I'm going to have to take up the baton and deliver my talk of "Simplicity" which I'd hoped everyone had forgotten about..
