Fool Me Once...

 The comment on my post came from a site I hadn't engaged with before. It was a little impersonal, pedagogical, even patronising, but it seemed friendly and well-meant ((some people can't help being patronising) and more to the point it was cogent and well-argued, so I acknowledged it - and while I didn't exactly extend the hand of friendship, complimented the author on his ( he presented as male) remarkable clarity of mind.

Then I thought "I wonder who this person is. I need to go see. Maybe even add them to my friends list." 

So I visited the site and it turned out to have only a handful of entries, all of them- of all random things- advertising a company that ships things to Costa Rica. There was no person there at all-  and I'd been fooled by AI...

I won't let it happen again.
