Christmas Eve

 Three people stood up and "gave miinistry" at the Meeting for Worship this morning and- as Keith noted afterwards- not one of them said a word about Christmas. That's Quakers for you.

On my way back from the bus stop I passed an inflatable Santa who was rocking from side to side in the wind and felt the impulse to wave back.

I think the French word "siffle" is better than our word "whistle" at suggesting the sound the wind is making now....
