Putting the last post in context:

The Turner Prize was established in 1984. It's Britain's most prestiguous or- at least- best publicised art prize. Down the years most of the people you'd expect to have won it have done so. Originally based at London's Tate Gallery, the show has, more recently, taken to wandering the country. Eastbourne's Towner Gallery is this year's host- which is nice for Eastbourne.

The four nominees moved their work into the Gallery this autumn and the prize was awarded earlier this month.  We waited until Jenny and Ian were free and went to look at the exhibits en famille.

Change of subject: Here's a picture of our new enormous desk- custom made for us by Jim. It matches the book shelves. God, but we're untidy!

Another change of subject: We're at the solstice- and entering the light half of the year. From now on the sun will be hanging out with us for a little longer every day. Vivat, vivat Rex!
