Growing A Beard

 Shall I grow a beard?

Well, why not?

 I was looking at a storefront Santa yesterday. He was just a cardboard mask, but wisdom and benignity radiated out from him. "Hello, old man," I thought. "How nice if in my old age I looked like you."

 I wonder what colour my beard will be; will it be completely white, or will there still be some grey? It will be worth trying the experiment just to find out.

 Last time I thought of growing a beard I bailed out at the prickly stage. but I was considerably younger then.

An old man can make himself beautiful by growing a beard....
