Damien- the guy who rendered our back wall- brings his little girl round to pet Marlowe. Her name is Aiofe- pronounced like Eva but with a "f" sound not a "v" sound in the middle. Marlowe tolerates it. He's a sleepy old cat these days- though still capable of clambering over the fence and terrorising the cat next door. The cat next door is called Charlie.
Poor Charlie!
Ailz has turned the central heating off. There won't be much point in me hanging my bath towel over the radiator for the next few months.
We've bought a skittles game and a bean-bag throwing game for use with visiting kids here and at the Meeting House. I don't think there'll be any kids at the Meeting House today but I'm wondering whether to take one of the games down anyway and suggesting the old folks try their hand. Oh, why not? I'll play skittles against myself if nobody else wants to.
