Show Time

 I dreamed I had attached myself to a band of travelling show people. What they'd do was pitch up in a field and put on a show for free. My job was to introduce each act- only I couldn't make myself heard- or even hear myself- over the racket the audience was making. First up was a family of jugglers called the Krasinskis. I asked the wife how long they'd been in the business and she said "Fourteen generations". Next came a theatre troupe from Azerbaijan- and after them a troupe from the local water company with a playlet set in California. A party of children and adults with distorted faces and staring eyes took seats in the front row and I was told they'd come under escort from the local prison...
