I'm 72. My own full stop can't be that far ahead. I need to make the most of whatever time is left to me in this particular earthwalk.
Earthwalk is a word I learned from an LJ friend who has long since moved on. I don't know if she coined it- probably not- but I've never come across it outside of her posts. I like it. We enter time and space, we stroll about a bit- doing one thing after another- perhaps with a particular goal in sight, perhaps not- and then leave again, hopefully having learned some things worth learning and enjoyed some things worth enjoying.
And, c'est la vie. I'm saying it in French not English because the French has something the English lacks- even though it's a direct translation- a hint of defiance, of humour- an implied shrug of the shoulders.
