It's Getting Cold
Dec. 4th, 2022 09:02 amI dreamed my old Latin master had rescheduled his class and I'd fallen asleep in a chair and had missed the start of it. The school was a distance away. I could have caught a bus but chose to walk instead. The footpath I was following was flooded. And somehow, somewhere along the way, I'd lost my shoes.
In another dream I was creating an elaborate diorama. this is something I often find myself doing.
Cold weather is coming- an arctic plume or something like that. Some parts of Britain may even get snow.
I think the pitter-patter I hear in the morning is the pigeons assembling on the roof to wait for their breakfast. I don't think it's rats or mice but after our experience at the farm I'm a little nervous.
I've been watching Richard D Carrier's Youtube Dr Who documentaries. The site is called Clever Dick Films. He's good- very good- and I'm not the only one of his followers who thinks the BBC should hire him. Asked about his favourite TV show he says (his sentiments, my wording) that he wouldn't put Dr Who at the top of the list because it's not so much a programme, more a way of life. His assessment of the Moffat years makes me want to watch those shows again. He says Moffat is the first show runner/writer to really explore the possibilities and implications of time travel: his plots are bewildering- but then so is the science he's playing with...
