Nov. 12th, 2022 04:18 pmWe didn't get to see Oklahoma. Our granddaughter took ill and missed the evening performance- and we fancied an early night more than we fancied sitting through an amateur show with no relatives in it.
Next time we go up to Leicester we may stay at the Wheatsheaf in Crick (on the Northamptonshire border.) I fixed on it as a place to have lunch because I wanted to visit the church of St Margaret of Antioch- but the food was great, the people friendly- and they have rooms- and all ways round we fell in love with it.
Driving back down the M1 today we saw a warning sign saying there'd been a "report of animals". That's a new one on me. This was in the neighbourhood of Woburn Abbey Safari Park so we speculated it might be elephants- or lions. In the event there was nothing to see- not even sheep- not even rabbits...
