Long To Rain Over Us...

I had charge of a child for the afternoon. We went by a couple of play parks and picked up sparkly stones on the beach- and then it seemed there was going to be a carnival parade along the sea front so we took our places on the curb.

We saw a female goth drumming band, several QEIIs and one Queen Victoria, a Chinese dragon that swooped down on Mary (to her delight) and people twirling batons. The biggest surprise were the South American dance troupes, made up of real South Americans; what are they doing in Eastbourne? How come there are so many?

The weather held, but the atmosphere was getting hotter and heavier (the waves were bigger than I've seen them in all the time we've been here) and around nine o'clock in the evening there was a thunder storm. The long term forecast is for rain all through the coming week...
