Matters Arising

I have these brilliant, heavy duty gloves (rubber/plastic/I don't really know what they're made of but they're impermeable) which stretch all the way up my arms to the shoulder. Ailz bought them me for when I was digging the pond but since then they've come in useful when I'm unblocking toilets or dealing- as I was this morning- with beshitten laundry.

Quordle furnished me with a new word this morning- "flack" meaning publicity agent. I took it to be a variant spelling of "flak"- which it is as well- but I'm very happy to have added the other newer meaning to my vocabulary. I love new words.

J.... hasn't entirely written me off yet so I took courage and answered her latest email with a little light metaphysics. Metaphysics is who I am- and always have been- and it does me no good to pretend otherwise.
