Storms, Arthritis, Rupe
Feb. 18th, 2022 09:13 amTwo nights ago storm Dudley came roaring through and today we have storm Eunice. Dudley and Eunice- they could be a couple from a Mike Leigh movie.
My left thumb is giving me gyp. Arthritis I suppose. Pain in an extremity is unpleasant but less disabling than one that's centrally located- like a migraine.
I've noticed recently that we're talking less about "mainstream media" and more about "legacy media"- which has a whiff of mothballs about it- which makes sense because how can a media outlet be "mainstream" when Joe Rogan gets viewing figures it can only dream of? In related news I see 91 year-old Rupert Murdoch has succeeded in getting the legal barrier lifted that prevented him influencing the editorial line at his various newspapers. Once upon a time I'd have seen this as a signal defeat for decency- but not any more- because who reads the Times these days?
