Cassowaries. Not

I dreamed I had a flat at the top of a very high building. I passed an elderly couple on the stairs and the woman said "Hello" and then apologised because she said she knew it was against the rules of the establishment to speak to strangers. I said I was sorry too and I would have greeted her back only I was fixated on these birds I'd seen out of my living room window. They were very large birds with long necks and big heads. They were rooting around in the grass and I thought they might be cassowaries (which they weren't.) The couple came into my flat, admired the birds, then stepped out the window and started off down what was no longer a wall but a very steep hill in order to see them at closer quarters. I stayed behind. That incline looked dangerous to me...
