Apparition

The Rotherfield and Mark Cross Bonfire Society (Bonfire night is coming! Bonfire night is coming!) have organized a scarecrow trail for charity. No, I'm not sure how this works, either- and I only know it's happening because we passed through Rotherfield on our way home from elsewhere and this extraordinary apparition was sitting above what I think is a baker's shop.
