A Moment Of High Drama
Sep. 19th, 2021 11:35 amMy mother is going upstairs in her stair lift and the cat is going downstairs. They meet in the middle.
"Stop," I yell to Ailz who has her finger on the button, "The cat is going to be scrunched to buggery!"
A brief period of uncertainty follows. The chair lift goes down a bit, the cat follows it, the lift goes up a bit and the cat is trapped in the stair well.
Eventually we get things sorted. I shoo the cat into the kitchen.
"It would have been alright," says Ailz. "The chair is very sensitive. Once it senses an obstacle it stops."
Well, maybe...
All the same I'd rather not put it to the test.
