Dent-de-lion

Julia says ours is the only garden she's worked in where she's been asked to encourage the dandelions and not grub them up...

Two main reasons:

1. Wendy makes a very effective ointment using dandelion heads.

2. Dandelions are very, very beautiful....

And a supplementary reason....

3. The red ants have a use for them- alimentary I presume....

Immaterial

I had no difficulty photographing dandelions but my camera wouldn't recognize dandelion clocks as solid objects, but kept focusing on the ground behind them, looking past them, through them- as if they were smoke or gauze.
