As we drove down hill into Paddock Wood we passed from sunshine into fog. "Like entering fairyland," said the lady at the charity shop.
Earlier I'd been in the Post Office. The guy ahead of me was doing some sort of business involving Europe. Perhaps he was renewing a passport. The clerk said, "We're having to tell all our customers that after March 29th..." Personally, I don't think Brexit is going to happen. The establishment don't want it and are used to getting their own way. I think they'll ask for an extension- and then perhaps for another- until such time as the political situation has changed so much (perhaps the EU will implode or morph into a rather different organisation) that the decision we made at the referendum no longer applies.
