In Her Dreams

 My mother has been forgetting things for ages but it's new that she should be remembering things that are not case. There were three incidents yesterday. First thing in the morning she remembered the carers turning up and her sending them away, in the early afternoon she was asking about the people who were coming to lunch and in the evening she was surprised to see Ailz because she thought she'd gone to a dance....

First Stirrings

 We have snowdrops.

We have that yellow flower whose name I used to know but have now forgotten

We have a crocus. Just the one. 

And out by the front gate we have a yellow primula- a little ragged around the petals but bravely going "up yours" to the time of year.
