Weather, Short Term And Long Term

As if the field wasn't damp enough already!
I suppose you'd call this weather mild- the temperature's well above freezing- but the air is full of moisture- and it's not pleasant to be out and about.
I saw in one of the papers this morning that some expert is predicting a mini-ice age which, if true, means our current panic about global warming (which I've always thought a bit overdone) will have been so much piffle in the wind. One of the channelled sources I follow has been saying the same thing for ages but only loonies pay attention to information from the other side. The source says you humans just don't live long enough to recognise recurring weather patterns and if you lived for centuries you'd know global temperatures always go up a bit before a freeze.
