Our eldest grandson, Fabrizio- who is 11- has been granted British citizenship. Wonderful news.

Now to get citizenship for his sister and brother...

It has to be done gradually- one child at a time- because the costs (payable to government and solicitor) are considerable.

It does seem ridiculous that 'they' make this sort of thing so complicated!

It seems to be much less complicated if you can oil the wheels with money.

Fabrizio was born in this country. I think this should have given him an automatic right to citizenship- but it didn't.

Anyway, it's sorted now.
