We Have Workmen In

Two guys walk past the breakfast table.

My mother: Who are those?

Me: They've come to put in the shower.

My mother: The shower?!

Me: Yes.

My mother:: We already have a shower.

Me: Not one that works....

Spring Advances

Ailz and I sat out on the patio yesterday afternoon. I lasted longer than she did. The patio has walls on three sides, a glass screen on the fourth and enjoys its own micro-climate. It's so far ahead of everywhere else that the stone urn at its centre boasts a couple of tulips in full bloom.
