When I Say "Run", Run.
Oct. 8th, 2014 09:09 amOur leaders like to keep us frightened. It doesn't matter who or what we're scared of just so long as there's something- and they can present themselves as our defenders.
Right now they're going big on Isil. A few weeks ago it was the Russians in the Ukraine, but Isil is so satisfactorily monstrous that the Russians have been set aside and forgotten. Is there still a war going on in the Ukraine? I suppose there must be, but I'm not seeing anything about it in the media, because- oooh, look- beheadings!
And now there's ebola. If more cases crop up in western countries we can probably foget about the jihadis.
