I turn the porch light on so Ailz can see her way to the door when she gets back from her mother's. The Christmas tree lights, which are on a timer, have just started flashing. Blue. White. Bluewhitebluewhitebluewhite. Are these chilblains I've got on my feet? Whatever they are they itch. Out the back window a sickle moon has recently cleared the house tops.
