Nice Dream

I woke from a nice dream in which Charlie Chaplin got the girl and a voice over said it would have been more plausible if it had been someone handsome like Laurence Olivier, at which point Olivier himself (in heavy disguise) appeared in an insert at the bottom of the screen chunnering that it should have been him.

The Electricians: Day 7

Today was the day it got a little fraught. The electricians are way behind schedule andMohammed (Mr Yousaf, but now we're on first name terms) was cross- firstly with them and then (smilingly) with us for having such an inconvenient house. My role is to be patient and soak up as much of the bad feeling as I can.

We've been enjoying Professor Elemental's videos. We've also been enjoying the videos of Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer whom the Professor accuses of stealing his act- but where would the arts be without theft? Besides they're very different. The Professor is surreal and owes an acknowledged debt to Viv Stanshall and Mr B is a parodist who plays a mean banjolele.
