We woke yesterday morning to the first frost of the season- a white bloom across the skin of houses and cars. It didn't last long.

And then the doorbell rang and it was a couple of guys delivering a shower chair- courtesy of the council. It's a huge thing- almost a settee. It replaces the fold-down seat we had before.

And then the doorbell went again and it was a guy come to fix up an intercom system- again courtesy of the council. If I'm out Ailz will now be able to answer the door- and even open it- from her bed.

Naive Question

If you say you're going to have a surge but afterwards you'll withdraw aren't you effectively telling the enemy to hang on in there?
