21 Grams

The characters in 21 Grams all flow into one another. They exchange blood, bodily fluids, body parts. And psychically too it becomes uncertain where one begins and another ends. Who has made Naomi's character pregnant? Is it her husband or her lover or is there, in fact, any distinction between them? The film explores the Christian idea that we are members one of another as much as it does the more openly stated theme of self-sacrifice.
