Ugly
Is this the ugliest British election in living memory?
I wouldn't know because a curtain of blissful forgetting sweeps across the scene as soon each election is over.
But this one is awfully ugly.
And if one isn't careful one finds oneself debating the ugliness instead of the core issues- and perhaps that's what the politicians would prefer.
Easier for them- and for us- to talk personalities rather than ideas.
More fun too- though in a way that leaves one feeling hungover afterwards.
