Right On, Brian...

Following on from that last post, I see that Queen guitarist Brian May has recently completed his collection of "diableries"- mid 19th century stereoscopic cards, showing life in hell (they're enormous fun)- and is planning to open a museum of stereoscopy. I dig Brian May: He's 72 and still bouncing around like a young'un. Here's a quote from the interview he gave Hello magazine...

"I think human beings have to keep moving. I think that's one of the big secrets of life and I do keep moving, my head is always moving from place to place. I wear different hats depending on what's going on. I do get tired and probably don't sleep enough, but everything that happens is a bonus, everything is a treasure."

I saw Otley on the Google Earth app... it's a lovely town with [personal profile] cmcmck's twisty streets... Now I REALLY want to go to the UK. :D

He also loves badgers!

That makes him a ace guy in my book!

Debbie read an article about him, somewhere. If I recall correctly he makes (or perhaps invented) a new style of portable stero viewer?

Sets a good example for those of us lagging behind but looking forward to being his age.

How fun! I remember as a young child my grandparents had a stereoscope viewer and a few dozen image cards. Even 50 years ago it was a throwback to another time, but whenever we visited we would sit down and marvel at all the images.
